Settings
You can find the settings in the right-hand navigation bar. There are settings for your profile, notifications and privacy, as well as a tab where you can see which devices are logged in.
How do I change my usergroup or semester?
In the settings, you can change your email address and password, as well as your degree programme, semester and usergroup.
How do I change my name?
To do this, please send us an email stating which Incom or university you are from. We will then change it for you. This is a security measure, as we wish to foster a responsible community where real names are used.

How long does it take for my account to be approved?
University lecturers and staff must first have their accounts approved. This means they need to be verified by an ‘authorised person’ (e.g. from the Dean’s Office). Of course, this doesn’t happen at all hours, as it’s handled by a person, not a machine. But it’s usually quick. If you haven’t heard anything after 24 hours on a working day, feel free to drop us a line and we’ll look into it.
Can I use Incom in dark mode?
Yes, of course – you can also set your preferred display mode.
Can I request my data?
You can have your data sent to you or close your account.

Tab::notifications
Here, you first set your general preferences for how you’d like to receive notifications. Whether via email, only in the interface, or via push notifications. The latter does not work on all devices. (Apple, for example, does not allow this on the iPhone)
Where can I stop Incom from sending me emails?
You can then configure individual settings for each workspace. However, if you are the founder of a workspace, you cannot unsubscribe from notifications, as you are in charge – which means you are also responsible for ensuring that nothing inappropriate is posted.

Tab::privacy
Can I display my projects on my Incom profile not anonymised?
Yes, you can make your profile public – meaning it will be visible even to users who aren’t logged in. This allows you to build a presentable portfolio without having to create your own website.
Can I bypass the intermediate screen for external content?
Yes, you can specify which external content you trust so that it loads directly.
